As you have hopefully noticed by now, my name is Matthew Fraser and i happen to have a blog. I’m a guy who has a big interest in technology and social media. I enjoy computer science(lots of languages too: C/C++, Java, PHP, Python, C#, VB, VB.net, Javascript), computer graphics, game design, IT and legal hacking/mods. I am planning on studying in the CS field (at UW with CO-OP). I also spend a lot of time working on my artistic skills, on paper, and with graphic design(Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), and 3D animation on the computer(lots of Blender3D). I also do a lot of small video projects(using some Premeire Pro, After Effects, Sony Vegas, iMovie) and have dabbled a bit in podcasting. The rest of my time is usually spent surfing the web, blogging, twittering, all that social media goodness, watching podcasts(Diggnation, TRS, Tekzilla, Systm, CO-OP, Film Riot, the404, TWiT, FLOSS weekly, DJNewStyle Show, You Look Nice Today, and Sarcastic Gamer), reading about tech, and playing games on my Xbox 360.

I also enjoy Hockey alot, and am a faithful leafs fan (hey I know they might suck now, no need to hate). Grew up watching Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday nights, and haven’t stopped watching and cheering for the Leafs since. I am also really interested in extreme sports, especially skateboarding. I can’t actually do any of it, but I keep in the know, and watch a lot of videos, the XGames, etc. To add to that, Danny Way is a beast!

I also listen to a lot of music. I’m mostly a fan of rock, maybe some weird techno, and whatever else I think sounds cool. As for movies, I guess you could say i’m a classic geek. Star Wars and the JJ Abrams Star Trek are amazing, and then there is some other cool older movies like Blade Runner, THX1138, Mad Max, etc. that I love. Another video, that not to many may have heard, of is Pirates of Sillicon Valley and it is an amazing movie that shows the battle between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs that I of course love because i’m definately a geek. (i also find the title ironic now, considering how anti piracy both their companies are)
